"You can make anything by writing. C.S. Lewis
Over the course of my life, I've saved the world from ultimate destruction, travelled across unknown lands, rescued princesses, slain monsters, and travelled across unknown regions of space. I've loved and lost. Wept and laughed. Lived and died. Of course, I'm not talking about the slow crawl and humdrum of real life, but through the worlds of literature.
One day, I was neck-deep in a book when I had an idea. It was a simple thought: "I love reading so much. I love the culture of books. I don't want to just be an outsider looking in, I want to be a part of it!"
At first, this thought was a pinprick of an idea, but it soon grew into a tempest. It fractured, recombined, and solidified over the years, but this idea—now turned into a full blown passion—never lost it's original innocence, spirit, and purpose.
This section of the blog is my fumbling about in making stories from beginning to end. I'll write a lot of my short stories here. Some of them will be good. Some of them will be bad.
Of these, a choice few—those that have potential—will be fleshed out chapter-by-chapter and made into full length novels.
The current status of a particular story will be the following:
||No subsequent installments intended.|
||Entire storyline is finished.|
||Temporarily 'put on hold' but will be continued.|
||Terminated with no intention of completion.|
||Currently being being updated on a consistent basis.|
Sometimes, a tentative continuation date will be placed next to the status symbol. For Example: On Hiatus [12/15/19]. Also, if a storyline has completed a major milestone—like completing a book or major story arc—it will be automatically labelled as
On Hiatus until the next installment has begun.
Here is a list of all my current stories to date:
|Crown of Solstice||
||N/A||A baker, a princess, a revolutionary, and a soldier are swept by fate to save the world.|
|Rogues of Fortune||
||N/A||Loosely based on my D&D group sessions from 2014 – 2017.|
